Show And Tell

One of the things that I would bring to show and tell is my gold chain. This gold chain is very special to me because it was a gift from my mom. Not only that but there a story behind my chain. My mother gave it to me because my other chain broke. This chain is very special to her and she trusted me to wear it. The story to the chain is a bit dramatic.

It was a normal day and I had just got home from school. It was weird because my mom wasn’t home and she always was. I figured she was out with my auntie or something. I was right she had gone to the store with her. I started to watch TV and all of the sudden I heard a car pull up in front of my house. I looked out to see who it was, it was my cousin. I opened the door for him, greeted him, and told him to come in. He told me lets go. I asked him where he wanted to go. He said that my mom and auntie got into a car accident on the highway. After he told me that I got the worst feeling I ever had in my life. We ran to his car and rushed to the highway. I was scared and nervous but I told myself that they would be okay.

We were on the highway. We could see the cops and the ambulance on the side of the road. We passed by and we couldn’t see my aunties car. So we did a U-turn and pulled off to the side of the road behind the cops. We got out of the car and looked down the side of the road. I could see my mom holding my little brother in her hands and my auntie right next to her. I could also see the wrecked car. A tire had popped and the car flipped like 4 times off the freeway. The car was crushed from the center but the front and back of it had no damage at all. I looked down at the ground and I could see the tire marks coming off the road. I noticed that the marks went right past a light pole. Right then and there I knew how close my mom got to death. That’s when I rushed down the side of the road and went to hug my mom and little brother. I knew that everything was okay.

My mom and little brother were uninjured but my dad took my mom to the hospital just make sure nothing was wrong with her. Later that day my cousin and I went to see the car at a shop, they had toad it because it was totaled, they were closing so I had to hurry. We got there and the person working the led us to the car. We got to it and we checked inside of it to see if there was anything there. The first thing I saw was my mom’s chain I picked it up but the medallion it had was gone. We couldn’t find anything else in the car so we went home. The next day I showed my mom the chain she said thanks for finding it you can keep it.

My Summer

My past summer went by pretty fast. At least I got to enjoy part of it. But some of it was awfully boring. The beginning of my summer wasn’t that exciting. I say that because I started off in summer school. But it wasn’t that bad. The bad things were that I had to wake up early every weekday and all the work that we had to on the computer. Some of the good things were that I had some good times and I also got to learn a bit more about myself thanks to Mr. Leh. I learned more about the outside world. If it wasn’t for that class I wouldn’t know what I know now. After that class I started looking at the world differently. I now look at things from different perspectives. I think that that has helped me understand the world around me.
