Assingnment #12

   The story called “The Black Cat” was a pretty good story. I thought it was going to be a dumb story about a black cat, it was at first, the story didn’t get good until the first cat got killed by his owner. I was falling asleep when Mr. Leh was reading this story to us until I started to hear some pretty interesting things, like when he started talking about how the owner of the fist cat started getting drunk. After I heard that I was like something bad is going to happen and it did, it didn’t happen all of the sudden it happened slowly. The owner started to say that he was starting to dislike the cat. I thought that was pretty weird because this guy really liked his little black cat.

   The story said that one of the reasons for him disliking the cat was because he was starting to think that the black cat loved him. The owner did not want the cat to love him so he stopped paying any attention to it and ignored it. Even after avoiding that cat his disliking for his black cat kept on building up until he had hatred for it. Then one day the owner of the black cat just exploded and let out all of his hatred. He went straight for the cat; he grabbed the cat and a rope. The story called it something else but I forgot what it was. Well he took the cat outside and he hung it from a tree.

   After the cat died the owners anger went away. He couldn’t believe what he had done, all of the sudden he felt a strong sadness and he told himself that he would never do such a horrible act again. Time went by he had a normal life until one day his house burnt down. Everything from the house burnt down except for one wall. On that one wall there was a figure of a cat, it was the cat that the owner had killed. When the owner of the cat seen the wall he couldn’t believe what he was looking at. He didn’t know how that was possible if he had never taken that cat into the house after he killed it. He thought he was going crazy.
